Welcome to Ms Houlihan’s Junior Infants webpage. Our first term has been very busy. We’re learning lots of new things everyday and making great friends.
December was a busy month in Room 3! In maths we learned about patterns and we used cubes, beads and links to make our own patterns. Our Aistear (learning through play) theme was Christmas and we had great fun designing Christmas stockings, working at the Post Office and playing with the doll’s houses. We even built Santa’s sleigh and delivered presents around the world! We coloured Waterford jerseys and had a blue and white day in school to celebrate Waterford reaching the All Ireland final, maybe next year!! A beautiful winter garden was set up in school and we enjoyed visiting it to hang up our baubles and sing Christmas songs. We also got to have hot chocolate, biscuits and a dance in the hall. Just before we got our holidays, we watched the Helix panto on our whiteboard with some popcorn. Take a look at our photos to see us working hard and having fun!
