December:

What a busy month December was. We learned and sang new Christmas carols, performed our Nativity, made so much Christmas and winter art, watched the panto from The Helix, got to meet and have storytime with Mrs Claus, had our trip to Winterval, went on the carousel and got hot chocolate in a café – wow! What a month!

October/November:

During October and November we enjoyed celebrating Halloween and Science Week. The girls dressed up for Halloween and the top corridor had a parade to show off our fancy dress costumes! In November, we were very busy celebrating Science Week; we carried out many different experiments and thoroughly enjoyed the investigations. The girls also had so much building their dream bedrooms using Lego.

September…

A big hello and welcome from all the girls in 2nd Class in Room 11! We have been very busy since returning to school,  We have had a great few weeks catching up with friends and getting to know one another.  We visited Ms. Fortune’s 5th Class where we engaged in buddy reading for International Literacy day.

All the Second Classes tried out for the Cross Country trials taking place at the end of September. I was so proud of everyone in our class as they all completed the course. We even had three girls qualify to represent the school – Amelia, Melissa and Aoife. Well done everyone! It’s all fun and games in Room 11 as we practise our addition and tables! The girls loved playing Maths games this week. We have been working hard but having lots of fun along the way!  Here’s some of what we’ve been up to…..
