Presentation Primary School Waterford

A great tradition of education in Waterford since 1798

First Class

Miss McKeon

Term Three has been busy for us so far. We took part in Féile an Scoileanna which was great fun. We enjoyed all the fun and games at Sports Day too. Now we have started our new ‘Buddy Books’ and love reading with our friends. This year in First Class has been great. We have worked very hard with Ms McKeon but really enjoyed it too.

March…

We had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day.  Can you see any of the characters from our favourite books!  Here’s a few to help you: Little Red Riding Hood, Wilbur, Hermione, Snow White, Lightening Girl, Moody Margaret – we even had a Gangsta Granny!

We read our book all about Claude and the great adventures he gets up to when his owners Mr and Mrs Shinyshoes go to work.  We brought in our pets and interviewed them about their adventures when we go to school.  Oh what tales we heard!

Seachtain na Gaeilge was great fun. We had a Céilí mór and really enjoyed taking part in the Ceolchoirm as part of Green Day.

February…

Happy Chinese New Year from all of us in Room 6. We are working hard and are proud of our lovely writing. Check out our photographs below…

January…

We came back to school and began working hard again. We had fun learning all about Winter. We created some lovely pictures using ‘The North Wind Doth Blow’ as inspiration.

December…

We had great fun at school during December. Our favourite day was the ‘Christmas Fun Day’. We played games, made cards, had hot chocolate and visited Mrs Claus in the school library.

October and November…

Another great couple of months for us in Room 6. We enjoyed tasting all different types of fruit and vegetables as part of the Food Dudes programme. Just before our Midterm Break, we had great fun when we wore our Halloween costumes for ‘Dress-Up Day’.

September…

Room 6 hit the ground running this year! We worked hard everyday and had lots going on. We started dancing on Wednesdays with Muriel. Exciting times for the great bucket-filling girls in Room 6! We were also delighted and very proud to have two ‘Summer Star Readers’ this year – they received their medal and certificates in September! Well Done Ladies! Congratulations too to the ladies who had ‘Awesome Attendance’ for September.
